Key role - Establish and maintain a mentor relationship with the franchise Partners. Research and develop exciting and innovative lifestyle marketing and merchandising tools and establish 'best practices'. Help franchise Partners implement these new tools during monthly store visits.

Secondary role - Manage the advertising department. Effectively build, motivate, and direct the design and production team. Coordinate management, staff and vendors to meet all project requirements. Manage all operational, strategic, budget, staffing, and administrative functions.

Develop and manage the production of a full range of promotional materials, direct-mail pieces, and Web site content. Track, project, and report both advertising and circulation-based marketing programs. Manage and coordinate design production from concept through completion. Work closely with management team to create vision, conceive designs, plan advertising strategy and events while consistently meet deadlines and requirements.

Key Achievements:

  • Created a monthly product and services flyer. Designed to be fully customizable according to individual market specifications.
  • Leveraged unused Market Development Funds in 2008 to run a free national flyer for a month, inciting a record increase in distribution from 700k to 1.2 million. This success expanded to a 8 month free flyer program in 2009.
  • Increased participation in flyer program from 21 to 60 franchises steadily over 4 years.
  • Increased flyer distribution from 6.6 million to 10 million annually - from 2004 to 2009.
  • Developed a dynamic, interactive online sign up environment for monthly flyer customization meeting the goal of a simplified user experience and streamlined design production.
  • Realized 5% savings in total marketing expenditures in fiscal year 2010 through operational efficiencies.

Creative Director role required consulting with clients and rendering concepts into concrete designs, extending brand attributes through the design of web templates and user interface. Lead the development team through site architecture, HTML template design and HTML overlays on existing ColdFusion based software.

Head Designer responsibilities included working closely with the in-house marketing team to produce all print collateral, develop Internet marketing strategies, Flash movie design and direction. Played a key role in research, development and editing of web site content.
